On Friday November 13^th, 2015, the Nevada Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers will host a field trip to the Ivanpah Solar Farm. This one of a kind tour will show you the behind the scenes picture of operating the largest concentrated solar energy system in the world. This tour will be led by the site Operations Manager and will make you think of solar energy in a whole new way.

Tour will last 3 hours and early departure is not encouraged
From I-15, take Yates Well Road North
Carpooling is strongly encouraged

Tour stops will include 45 Minute orientation / safety briefing

Solar Tower (450’ tall)

Special notes for this tour only: Steel toe shoes are required – Bring your own or provide your size on the RSVP page and a pair will be available on-site for your use. Hard hats, gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection will be provided on site also. Tour may include a stop at the top of the 450’ tower if the system is NOT active, if it is active, we will plan to visit the 120’ level.
