Our Response: COVID-19

Association of Energy Engineers Nevada (AEENV) is closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) threat and its impact on our Nevada community. We are committed to protecting the health of our members and have chosen to temporarily suspend the educational lunch and learns. AEE is exploring alternatives to in person meetings, to ensure the promotion of scientific and educational interest in the energy industry is moving forward during this difficult time.

We are here to support our members during this unprecedented time. Feel free to contact me at You will hear from us regarding future events if you are subscribed to AEENV emails.

Shawn Breker, President

The mission of AEE is "to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry and to foster action for sustainable development." We are professionals and practitioners who enjoy learning and sharing ideas on energy generation, conservation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Whether you serve as an engineer, architect, manager, or simply enjoy studying energy, you are welcome to attend! We offer our members and attendees lunch-and-learn events and field trips to give technical training on energy topics such as renewable energy, energy management, new technologies, and best practices.

We welcome students and professionals, whether you are current members or attending for the first time. A great first step is to join our Mailing List to keep up-to-date with events, announcements, and opportunities. Once you've joined, please sign up for one of our future events to see our AEE Chapter in action.

Considering membership? For benefits on becoming an AEE member, see our Join Us page where it outlines both local and national benefits and step-by-step guide on how to sign up. Please contact us for more information. We are here to serve you!

We are actively involved in Las Vegas and Reno. We host lunch-and-learn events with guest speakers every other month (6 per year, typically) along with field trips to new or well-known landmarks. A great first step on knowing who we are and what we do is to signup for our next event
