Narrative:

The Tesla Gigafactory 1 supplies the battery packs for its electric vehicles and stationary storage systems. It is located at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center ("TRI Center") in Sparks east of Reno. At 5.4 million square feet, roughly equivalent to 50 Home Depot stores, the factory is just 30 percent of its potential size and is already producing more batteries than all other carmakers combined.

• This is approximately a 75 minute walking tour
• No photo or video allowed inside the factory
• Everyone must wear long pants, a sleeved shirt (T-Shirts are okay) and wear flat closed-toe shoes (no sandals, ballet-style flats, or high heels)
• Photo ID and visitor NDA required for visitors
