Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Initiatives in Nevada 

Summary        

SW Gas will be discussing their energy education and assistance program, high efficiency equipment, and solar rebate programs in Nevada. They will also cover corporate sustainability initiatives including the utility energy service contract program, renewable natural gas development, and alternate fuel vehicle programs. 

Presenters

Melissa Porch of SW Gas

Melissa joined Southwest Gas in February 2019 as an Analyst for the Regulation & Energy Efficiency Department. She oversees Southwest Gas’ energy efficiency, low-income, and solar programs throughout our Nevada & California service areas. Melissa holds her Master of Arts in Economics from The University of Toledo.

Maxwell Hughes of SW Gas

Max joined Southwest Gas in 2013 as an Engineer and was subsequently promoted to an Energy Advisor. As an Energy Advisor, his primary role was to build and maintain relationships with developers, builders and trade allies. Max is presently managing Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC) projects with such Federal agencies as Nellis Air Force Base and Fort Irwin Army Base near Barstow, CA.  Max holds a BS in Structural Engineering from Gonzaga University and a MS in Structural Engineering from the University of Southern California.
