Join us for our 8th (and final) AEE Meeting of 2020 via Webinar. Due to social distancing and guidelines subject to change in Nevada, we will be offering educational webinars until we can meet in person.
RNG: The Renewable Fuel
Our guest speakers will be presenting on the importance of a lesser known energy source, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). The creation and processing of RNG is unique and has great benefits to both the economy and environment, helping to create jobs and cut down green house gas emissions. The RNG industry is continuing to grow as it looks towards a more sustainable future, so please join us as we learn more from professionals in the natural gas industry.
Our very own leaders at AEE NV will be delivering this timely presentation: Tori Dickey (Scholarship Chair) and Ryan Stemmerik (Secretary).
Tori graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. She has been working in the natural gas industry at Southwest Gas for 6 years starting as an intern until graduation in 2016, then became an engineer. She works in the New Business department designing infrastructure for new developments in town. This year, Southwest Gas began a project for their first RNG station in Southern Nevada, and Tori has been working as the engineer on the project.
Ryan graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. For the last 7 years he have worked exclusively in the energy industry, ranging from electric generation to natural gas. He worked as an intern for NV Energy at their Tracy Generating Station in northern Nevada and then transitioned to residential solar electric generation after college to work for SolarCity in Las Vegas, NV. In 2016, Ryan was hired on at Southwest Gas and began my journey as a New Business engineer and then transitioned to a System Planning Engineer, focusing on gas infrastructure planning and system improvements.
